Breaking news: "The Brightening Glance" percussive dance show is coming up! |

Elizabeth's Celtic & international roots band Stringed Migration is teaming up with Meehan Productions to present "The Brightening Glance," a cross-cultural percussive dance performance about the cycling of the seasons, inspired by the work of the iconic Irish poet William Butler Yeats, as well songs and poetry from host of other world traditions. Spear-headed by Irish dancer and choreographer Maldon Meehan, the show will feature Irish traditional sean-nós (or “old style”) dance, as well as American clogging, Cape-Breton step dance, 1930s era tap dance, ballet, and North African belly dance, all set to great live music. Other performers include Shannon Dunne, Brian Hart, Leela Grace, and the Maldon Meehan dance troupe.
The show is October 16 and 17th from 7pm – 9pm at the Echo Theater, (1515 SE 37th Ave., Portland, OR) (map)
